Staying safe

SlidThru helps arrange meet-ups. What happens at them is between the people involved.

What we don't do

We do not verify anyone's identity, run background checks, or supervise any plan or event. An account looking real is not the same as a person being who they say they are.

Before you go

• Think about who you share your plans with, and how far a link might travel — an invite link can be forwarded on by whoever you send it to.
• Be careful about publishing exactly where you will be and when, especially to people you don't know well.
• Meet somewhere public the first time, and tell someone else where you're going.
• Take the usual sensible precautions when meeting anyone you do not know well — the same ones you'd take meeting someone from anywhere else online.

If something feels wrong

Trust your judgement over anything an app tells you. If somebody makes you uncomfortable, you can report them from their profile, a plan, an event, a photo or a message — look for it at the bottom of the screen — and block them from their profile, which removes you from each other's app entirely.

If something goes wrong or you feel unsafe, contact the police on 999 in an emergency. We also want to know — email help@slidthru.com and say what happened.
